| Founded in 1916 as "A Scout Adventureland Forever," Yawgoog Scout Reservation is a 1800 acre reservation for Scouting located in w:Rockville, w:Rhode Island operated by the Narragansett Council of the w:Boy Scouts of America. It has been operating for 92 years, 2008 will mark its 93nd Season. Yawgoog is the fourth oldest continuously running Boy Scout camp in the United States.[1]
It runs an eight-week summer camping program every summer where Boy Scouts from across the Northeast region and from across the country stay for a week with their troops. Camp Yawgoog is divided into three separate camps with its own traditions, color, song and cheer: Three Point, Medicine Bow and Sandy Beach. Yawgoog serves thousands of Scouts and Scouters yearly.

What's New
New boy scouts, webelos & their families: "get acquainted" with Camp Yawgoog
Saturday, May 17, 2008 & Sunday May 18, 2008, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
This "get acquainted" day has been specially planned for new Boy Scouts, Webelos and their families to help them prepare for their first year at Yawgoog.
Program highlights include:
- "hands on" tour of camp program areas: check out some of our program centers including; archery, swimming, boating, pioneering, camp craft, nature center, trading posts and the all important dining hall.
- Visit a troop campsite: see for yourself what it is like to stay at camp and learn how to prepare for a successful and fun-filled week. You will have the chance to talk to leaders and scouts that regularly attend yawgoog. Get the inside scoop before you arrive.
- Meet the staff: the reservation director, camp directors and many of the staff will be on hand for you to meet and talk with.
- Lunch in the dining hall!: enjoy a family style meal in the medicne bow dining hall.
- For mom & dad: a chance to talk with camp yawgoog management and staff to answer any questions you might have.
