Albert R. Gunther Medicine Bow Waterfront Cabin

Located on the shore of Yawgoog Pond in Camp Medicine Bow, this cabin was opened and dedicated in 1995 through the efforts of the Yawgoog Alumni Association. The cabin is the home of the Camp Medicine Bow Waterfront program. Albert R. Gunther was the Camp Ranger at Yawgoog from 1959-1995. During that time Al was also the Chief of the Yawgoog Fire Department, which is a Rhode Island state record for "Longest Tenure by a Fire Chief". Al also saved two lives in that time.
