T. Dawson Brown Gate

Here are a few of the first signs to let you know you have arrived!

Image:rt138_sign_2.jpgDriving down Rt. 138 in Hope Valley, this is your first sign that you have arrived at Camp Yawgoog. The symbol of Yawgoog and Narragansett Council, Chief Yawgoog carries his canoe.
Image:gateway.jpgAt the end of Camp Yawgoog Road is the T. Dawson Brown gateway. The T. Dawson Brown Gate is located at the entrance of Yawgoog at the end of Camp Yawgoog Road. On the gate is two Thunderbirds, Indian messengers to the Great Spirit and protector of campers. There are also four animals carved into the gate: Fox, Beaver, Owl and Bear. The gate is dedicated to T. Dawson Brown.
